About us
M.A.R.S. joinery is a
small family run business situated in Edenbridge on the
Kent/Sussex border. We specialise in the design,
manufacture, and supply of high specification
Windows, Doors, Gates and one-off pieces of furniture; either
to the trade, or directly to the public.
We use ethically and sustainably sourced timber to create
and provide a bespoke joinery service for new buildings and
refurbishments alike. We uphold traditional values of
craftsmanship combined with contemporary manufacturing
processes and features. We aim to give good value
for money, while maintaining a high quality in all our work.
We carry out work on property of any type - either older buildings
(listed, or in a conservation area), buildings of character- old or new,
or just
improvements to your home- large or small. All can benefit
from our joinery products.
Our wood is selected from F.S.C (forest stewardship council)
sources. We use a variety of timber; European oak/
hardwoods, tropical hardwoods, and most recently a hybrid- Accoya.
We also use joinery grade softwood where suitable.
All our windows and glazed doors are 'double glazed' (unless
other required; i.e. single/triple glazed). We use
'Argon gas' filled glass units for thermal protection and
increased energy efficiency, to meet BSC certification. We
can also use 'Low-E' when appropriate. High performance
seals are applied to all openings to provide thermal values
exceeding current building control standards.
Our Ironmongery is selected for high security and
durability, in a variety of styles to meet your
specification. These can be from classic, to contemporary
designs, depending on your preference/ requirements. We can
also match like for like where needed.
Our finishes, (i.e. stain, varnish, paint etc.), are high
performance- microporous- low maintenance products. Every
item that leaves the premises is coated 3 times minimum with
required paint or stain (unless otherwise requested).
Gates can be made to any design - and can be arranged to be
fully automated if needs be.
Furniture is provided when simply nothing from a usual
retail outlet will fit or you have a unique design.
All work is guaranteed. M.A.R.S Joinery is a member of
the
British Woodworking Federation,
a trade body that ensures quality of service and product
(BWF.org.com).
We also aim to minimise our environmental impact where ever
possible, and re-use our waste timber for fuelling our
heating system. We also re purpose and recycle everything we
can to minimise our landfill use.
